Brainstorming DIY Wedding Ideas

Title: “Brainstorming DIY Wedding Ideas”

By: Jennifer Tang of MaJenta Designs

As I go through my wedding checklists, I find myself most excited in daydreaming of all the fun things I can personally make to give our wedding some personal touches. I have been googling images of wedding reception decorations, gift favors, and more – to get inspiration of ideas of things I could make for my own wedding!

For example, since our wedding will be an outdoors, summertime wedding – I thought it’d be great to make something similar to these programs that double as fans to help cool down our guests during the ceremony!

If only I had the time – I think making some place cards similar to these would really make our reception stand out!

These funny strawberries were actually from a social gathering I went to, and think it’d be such a  fun idea to serve such unique tasty treats at the wedding.

There are so many fun things to think and daydream about!  Now if only I had the time to handmake it all!

And of course since MaJenta Designs, my handcrafted business, is such a large part of who I am now, I definitely want to incorporate those designs into our wedding somehow too!  I’m thinking of making some sort of gift favors using these useful mint tins! 🙂

Love is All Around

Valentine’s Day may have come and gone, but we can still find love anywhere we look, if we try hard enough!  Currently, I’ve predominately focused all my creative energy into my Asian-inspired handmade jewelry line at MaJenta Designs, however, I definitely want to get back into photography someday.  I just love taking photos of scenic and natural landscapes, and recently have wanted to start searching for things that are heart-shaped, after being inspired by my 2009 calender from the “American Heart Association.”   However, I found some great Etsy sellers that already have amazing photos of hearts found in nature.  Below, are just a few of some of my faves!

Wow I cant believe it, but I actually made the front page of Etsy! 🙂   Thank you to the person who took the time to take this screen shot of the page, as well as the other blog that lists the names of sellers who’ve made the front page, or else I would have never known!  What more fitting for the image that they used, than none other than one of my Lucky Koi fish pendants, which are my most popular items!

End of Summer – Martha’s Vineyard Sunset

STORY: This photo was taking on a beach in Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts. A group of close friends all went out there during the summer after we graduated from high school and before going off to college. Its quite nostalgic thinking back to that trip, as we all watched the sunset and reminiscing over high school memories, wondering what college will be like, etc.

FEATURED: this photograph was featured in an Etsy Treasury, check it out along with some other New England sellers’ top items!

FOR SALE: This 8×10 photographic print is for sale in my Etsy Shop. Dont forget that I am having a 20% off sale for ALL items in my shop until Jan 15th, so check out the rest of the shop for some great deals, as if you spend over $50, you get FREE SHIPPING too! I sell other photographic prints, as well as jewelry too! http://www.majentadesigns.etsy.com
